With the support of the USAID Competitive Economy Program in Ukraine, the “Stalkanat” plant has acquired modern equipment. The new DL-A9 measurement system, the only one of its kind in Ukraine, is equipped with optics featuring 0.5x and 3x zoom and is designed for analyzing the die channels.
Previously, the plant could only measure the diameter of the dies, which required complex manual operations with significant time investment. Thanks to the new system, we can now quickly check not only the diameter but also other crucial parameters of the die channel shape, such as the working cone angle, the length of the calibration zone, and ovality indicators.
Acquiring this additional information will help improve the geometry of the channel, extend the lifespan of the dies, and enhance the quality of the wire. The new equipment will also reduce the time needed to prepare for the wire drawing process and select tools, making the employees’ work easier and increasing production efficiency. We thank the USAID Competitive Economy Program in Ukraine for their continued contribution to the development of our enterprise!
